Customer goals must be achieved while making the best possible use of available inventory. The right algorithm-based software is critical in effective decision making and this was the primary driver in TVN’s decision to work with S4AdOpt, Arvato Systems advertising optimization tool, now live at TVN.
TVN today can offer better efficiency and speeding up the booking process along with improving the monetization potential of its advertising inventory. Relying on sophisticated multi-dimensional optimization algorithms to achieve the best possible results, the S4AdOpt optimization engine has been developed specifically for the media environment.

The project marks the successful conclusion of yet another future-oriented international customer project for Arvato Systems. TVN, Poland’s largest private TV broadcaster, is now able to achieve the goals in an efficient, targeted, and largely automated way. The S4AdOpt optimization tool is integrated with TVN’s own sales and traffic system so that all campaigns can leverage the entire portfolio of the broadcaster. The highly-automated positioning of commercial spots across the inventory combined with optimization of their use is now a daily reality for TVN. Fully configurable sets of rules, parameters, constraints, as well as inclusion and exclusion criteria are defined by the operator. Responding to all given criteria, S4AdOpt always finds the best spot placement for each and every defined target audience.
Clear, Visual display of Complex Analyses: The S4AdOpt-Portal
The S4AdOpt-Portal radically simplifies management of the optimization process. While individual parameters can be regulated as required, the dashboard provides a simple view of the most important indicators, such as achievement of campaign target, remaining advertising slots in relevant segments and target audience accuracy. Information is presented in an easy-to-understand, graphical format.
One of the most complex tasks is to understand whether optimization has delivered the desired results. The use of meaningful performance indicators is crucial in understanding the results of various optimization scenarios and the dashboard makes this information more accessible to the user. S4AdOpt enables TVN to perform various scenarios during the booking process allowing managers to evaluate the effects of different sets of parameters and work through multiple scenarios.
