Sam Crawford, Vice President of Technology, Henninger Media Services shares some #NABShow Tips with Pamela Kleibrink Thompson Career Navigator and Broadcast Beat

Sam Crawford of Henninger Media Services shares NAB Show tips with Pamela Kleibrink Thompson, Career Navigator and writer for Broadcast Beat

Sam Crawford, Vice President of Technology, Henninger Media Services, based in Arlington VA, advises NAB attendees to “wear comfortable shoes,  the convention is very large and you are on your feet all day.”  Sam believes the most significant trend this year is 4K/UHD television production and mastering. He attends the NAB Show to “meet with manufacturers and learn more about their products.  This type of information is not always readily available on the web. Meeting with people and creating relationships with manufacturers and vendors is the most rewarding thing at NAB for us.”

Sam looked at display technology and remote collaboration solutions at NAB.  The best places to meet people? “The NAB floor is the best place to meet people but the truth would be at the after hours partys hosted by manufactures and vendors. The don’t miss aspect of NAB for me is the nda meetings with manufactures.  We usually get to see some of the things manufactures are working on but not ready to show the public.  This kinda of thing would only happen for us at NAB. The face to face with the manufacture is what I like most about NAB.  You get to talk with them about features you would like them to make available in future products.”
