Dubai, United Arab Emirates- 12 March, 2015: CABSAT 2015- Sennheiser Middle East, the regional arm of one of the world’s leading manufacturers of microphones, headphones and wireless transmission systems, today entered into a new partnership with Rycote, the award winning U.K. manufacturer of advanced microphone windshields and suspension systems. While the agreement makes Sennheiser the exclusive Middle East distributor for Rycote’s entire range of microphone and camera accessories, the company’s main focus will be on promoting the recently launched Rycote Cyclone Windshield System.
Sennheiser is ideally suited to this role having been the distributor for Rycote in the UK for a number of years. “We are looking to extend our partnership to include the Middle East where the combination of our market leading microphones with Rycote’s innovative protection accessories will help address many of the challenges that field production teams face. The complimentary nature of these product lines enables us to extend the dialogue with our broadcast and video customers and open up the possibility of cross-selling these solutions to meet the broader requirements of these clients,” said Mig Cardamone, Director of Sales and Marketing at Sennheiser Middle East.
The announcement was made at CABSAT 2015 where Sennheiser is conducing live demonstrations of Rycote’s Cyclone Windshield system as well as other traditional windshield offerings from the manufacturer. The Cyclone features a radical basket design and sets standards in audio transparency, wind noise and handling noise isolation. It is rugged enough to withstand extreme field conditions and utilizes a magnetic Z-Locking system for one-hand microphone access. Sennheiser is also using CABSAT as an opportunity to highlight the high end of its wireless broadcast products range with its 2000 Series, 3000/5000 Series and its flagship Digital 9000 Series all being demonstrated.
Commenting on Sennheiser’s regular participation at CABSAT and Mr. Cardamone said, “The show gives us a chance to really connect with our regional customer base. This engagement has involved offering our close support and services such as on-site surveys, RF planning and coordination, systems architecture and design, and onsite commissioning and training to all the users, broadcasters and integrators of our products. CABSAT has also given us the chance to place our very latest products in the hands of our longstanding supporters.“
