SGL, a leading provider of content archive and storage management software for media and entertainment, is launching FlashNet Infinity at NAB 2016 on booth SL5306. Due to be incrementally rolled out over the next 12 months, FlashNet Infinity provides broadcasters and content owners with an elegant dashboard that further simplifies archive procedures. FlashNet Infinity delivers a sophisticated toolset for archive and restore functionality, system health, monitoring, analysis and more. It is available as a free upgrade to all SGL FlashNet users covered by a current support contract.
The FlashNet Infinity dashboard provides pre-defined widgets to search, monitor and analyse archived and restored content and system health as well as admin tools to define user accessibility. Dashboard tools can be configured according to station or operator preference, providing a tailored overview of archive activity within the facility relevant to the user, a key feature of the FlashNet Infinity system.
The SGL FlashNet Infinity dashboard is simple to navigate with visually pleasing data analysis and reports. Detailed health checks provide key benefits. Users can easily check throughput relating to the number of current or completed jobs defined by asset, department or system for any time period. These trend analyses can be used for projecting future capacity and throughput requirements.
FlashNet Infinity provides small broadcasters that don’t have a MAM system with basic management tools that allow them to see what’s in the archive or stored on a certain disc so that they can archive material on the disc, or restore material in the archive, viewing a low res copy on the FlashNet Infinity dashboard.
Lee Sheppard, SGL’s Director of Product Management says, “We’re really excited to launch FlashNet Infinity at NAB 2016. The dashboard provides the next-generation of archive management with sophisticated tools that very quickly and easily give detailed analysis of the heart of the facility as well as monitoring, reports and much more. We look forward to making further FlashNet Infinity announcements over the coming months.”
SGL will be demonstrating FlashNet Infinity at NAB 2016 on the SGL booth SL5306 on Monday 18th April at 11:00am and 4:30pm, Tuesday 19th April at 10:00am and 4:00pm and Wednesday 20th April at 10:30am and 4:00pm.
