What we need
We are looking for an experienced leader for our creative and brand team who will shape our visual and verbal communications to customers and partners throughout the world. An inspiring, aspirational brand ambassador who will lead, guide, mentor a team of 30+ designers, writers, videographers, content strategists, project managers to support sales for our various business groups and grow awareness of the new Viasat brand. A visionary who will build the creative services and brand team to support business in over eighty countries worldwide.
What you’ll do
Drive the direction and development of Viasat’s in-house creative design strategy and execution, and be the main creative voice and champion of the Viasat brand
Lead, inspire, and supervise a team of 30+ designers, project managers, writers, and marketers throughout the creative process while managing workflow efficiently
Strategy creation and execution of a plan to grow awareness of the Viasat brand globally
Unlock the potential of the brand through inspiring internal teams with the brand vision
Partner and provide support to drive internal brand awareness success
Leverage all available communication channels, both paid and earned, to deliver the brand message
Partner with external agencies and third-party resources to help develop and execute the Viasat brand to the highest-level
Develop original content for a variety of marketing touchpoints
Set expectations and standards for creative team and brand team attitude, behavior, teamwork and professional development.
Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of creative group policies, objectives and short- and long-term planning.
What you need
10+ years’ experience leading and developing a global creative design team, either at an advertising/marketing agency or in-house at a medium to large company .
5+ years’ experience with building a global brand
Creative invention and innovation with the ability to articulate big and breakthrough ideas through a combination of mediums such as TV, radio, digital, print, events, etc.
Proven success in project management and execution across relevant mediums
Knowledge of brand strategy and production
Knowledge of current social media trends
Knowledge of digital video/television production
Ability to lead projects from concept to completion
Experience partnering with art directors and other creatives
Excellent communication (written and verbal) as well as confident presentation skills.
A love for ambiguity and the desire to always find a better way.
MBA/MA preferred- BA/BS in Marketing or similar required.
