Object Matrix has announced a 5-year deal with post-production house, The Finish Line to migrate its archive to MatrixStore Cloud from public cloud.
The Finish Line had a requirement to protect archive content in a cost effective manner whilst being able to retrieve clips on demand. The costs and retrieval performance proved to be too unpredictable on the incumbent platform so the Finish Line chose to migrate from AWS Glacier to the MatrixStore Cloud service.
Content will be archived to the MatrixStore Cloud service using a range of backup tools and the S3 interface. Once migrated, the entire archive will be accessed from one place using Vision from Object Matrix enabling global teams to discover and share content across the entire archive.
The Finish Line designs and manages in-house post-production solutions for productions, providing on-site or remote access editorial, finishing and mastering services. It was looking for a more efficient way of managing its archive.
The MatrixStore Cloud workflow enables The Finish Line to maximize the efficiencies of the cloud and share archived content with other stakeholders, while retaining the flexibility to easily and quickly scale as required. At the same time, MatrixStore Cloud and Vision ensure the archive remains secure and fully auditable.
