New JetStor Solution with RAIDIX Software is Engineered for M&E Workloads by Delivering Up to 780TB Terabytes of Capacity in Compact, Energy-Efficient 4U Chassis

AC&NC, a provider of leading RAID/Hybrid Flash/All Flash storage solutions, has introduced the JetStor RDX78, an ultra-dense RAID storage appliance for data-intensive applications in M&E projects. With the RAIDIX software installed, the 4U chassis provides a cost-effective cluster-in-a-box solution that delivers greater Input/Output (IOPS) than disaggregated hardware clusters. The platform supports up to seventy-eight hot-swappable and screw-less 3.5” SAS/SATA hard drives, each offering up to 10TB of capacity, and/or solid-state drives (SSDs) for even faster performance.
The JetStor RDX78 is tailored for massive object or block-level data stores in public and private clouds, as well as for such applications as data analytics, high-performance computing (HPC), video streaming and editing, and backups and archiving. It is designed for exceptionally low costs-per-GB for cold, warm or hot storage workloads.

A Function-Rich Cluster-in-a-Box
The RAIDIX software adds innovative capabilities to the JetStor RDX78. The RAIDIX caching controller automatically identifies and relocates frequently accessed data to the chassis’ SSDs for the fastest access and media transfer speeds. Frames are never dropped, even with concurrent HD or 2K–8K digital video streams, and the solution provides the enormous throughput demanded by M&E applications. RAIDIX error-correction technology eliminates data loss by detecting and fixing silent corruptions during normal disk operations without performance degradation. It also conducts background scans for silent errors during lower-activity periods. Moreover, RAIDIX-powered JetStor platforms offer erasure coding and are the only large-block media delivery and storage systems to support RAID 7.3. The triple parity of RAID 7.3 greatly decreases the probability of system failure and ensures rapid data recovery even if three disks fail simultaneously.

Additionally, the chassis delivers high availability even under heavy loads with up to four 1600W Platinum-efficiency power supplies that provide fully-redundant 2+2 split zone power configuration capabilities.
