About the Job

From overseeing every on-air promo and presentation, to creating original concepts and campaigns for our various properties, FOX Deportes is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to join the team in Los Angeles. You will be responsible for leading and providing comprehensive creative oversight for the On-Air Promotions department. If you have proven success in a lead creative role within a production environment and would thrive having the creative responsibility for producing all presentations, sales pieces, and collateral video media, this could be the role for you! In addition, you will be responsible for identifying and hiring all outside vendors, as well as allocating the department’s annual production budget.

Simply, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of FOX Deportes.


-Create, supervise, and provide all necessary approvals across entire creative spectrum (script, edit, music, VO, design, graphics, effects, etc.) for every on-air promo and presentation produced for Fox Deportes
-Create original concepts and campaigns to promote our various properties
-Write, direct, design, and provide primary creative authorship over all on-air campaigns and creative needs for the Sales, Production, Digital and other departments as needed
-Oversee on-air promo traffic and strategy team
-Find outside vendors in the creative community – award projects to selected outside vendors
-Evaluate pitches and concepts for all campaigns, provide approvals and budget allocation for all on-air projects
-Manage and supervise team of daily hire post-production artists, creative directors and team of writers/producers
-Allocate in-house resources amongst all in-house creative directors and writers/producers
-Initiate long-term planning needs for growing the department
-Identify needs of key employees and develop action plans to grow them within the group
-Identify facility upgrades needed, identify technology upgrades needed for our in-house production bays, work with Operations, Finance, and Engineering to address needs
-Discover and evaluate creative artists and daily hires – includes working with Recruiting and HR to establish database of personnel vital to keeping our department strong


-This position requires 5+ years of experience in On-Air Promotions at a broadcast network and/or cable network
-Proven experience in a lead creative role within a production environment is essential
-Must have history of managing a creative team
-Thorough understanding of contemporary post-production technologies and techniques is necessary
-Deep understanding of the motion graphics, visual effects, and commercial production communities is required
-Experience handling budgets is a must
-Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are necessary, including superior negotiation and writing skills
-Demonstrated creativity is essential
-Great organizational and project management skills are necessary
-The ability to multitask and work effectively under daily time constraints in a high-pressure environment is required


-Spanish language a plus but not required
-Knowledge of Avid, After Effects, Photoshop, Flame, photography and video/film editing is strongly preferred
