Udacity’s Video Production team is looking for designers to assist with creating animation assets for our online course content. The designers take scripts and sometimes rough storyboards and create clean, engaging screens that support our course content, receiving and incorporating feedback along the way. Video designers work remotely or in one of our offices (San Francisco or Mountain View), and report to and work closely with a producer from our production team. Designer will work 40 hours a week and must provide their own hardware and software.

This is a contract role. Open to remote candidates

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating designs based on scripts and storyboards
  • Following a style guide
  • Communicating frequently with the course team via Slack & email
  • Uploading to Wipster for feedback
  • Incorporating feedback at various points in the process


  • Minimum 2 years design experience in Adobe Illustrator CC
  • Access to Adobe CC

It’d be great if you also have:

  • A track record of working successfully remotely
  • Experience with character design and rigging
  • Experience designing assets for animation
