Vidispine and Arvato Systems are pleased to announce vortechConnect, the second in the vortech.by technical conference series aimed at developers, solution architects and senior technologists in the media and video platform industry. The virtual conference will be held on 27 May 2020, together with vortechConnect’s technology partner, Kaltura, providing the virtual event platform for the event. This year, vortechConnect is co-hosted by 7FiveFive, Adobe, Bitmovin, Embrace, Hiscale, LOGIC, Nablet, Object Matrix and premium sponsor, Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Isak Jonsson, CTO, Vidispine, said, “The need to understand and implement the latest technology to support business continuity is more urgent than ever. Taking vortechConnect online is the ideal solution to examine cloud-based media supply chain issues with a highly in-depth technological focus, minus the marketing and sales features that normally accompany these events. Last year’s conference was incredibly well-received, and we hope to repeat the essence of it in the virtual world, bringing the audience expert speakers who can help to solve the real-world technical challenges they are facing, and enabling the all-important networking element with round-table sessions in between presentations.”
The event program will run along similar lines to last year, with session themes encompassing the industry’s current hot topics such as remote working, cloud editing, streaming technologies, sports, AI, workflow and task management.
