WLWT-TV, Me TV broadcasts resume after 4 days

WLWT-TV’s over-the-air signals for Channel 5 and sister station MeTV (Channel 5.2) were knocked off the air 6:30 p.m. Thursday by a faulty transmission line on its Chickasaw Street tower in Fairview Heights, he said. Cable and satellite viewers were not affected. Thanks to “a great display of cooperation” from Cincinnati-based Scripps, Dyer said, Channel 5 has aired since Friday night on WCPO-TV’s digital multicast Channel 9.3, replacing the Live Well network which ceases operation by January. WLWT-TV is owned by Hearst Television Inc.
