Primary Responsibility: The Production Assistant (PA) will assist in the development of concepts and production of video promotional campaigns designed to drive tune-in and increase subscriber growth to Starz.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting in concept development, writing, and producing of video and/or audio spots or segments, including script writing, selecting music, video and graphic elements and directing voice-over talent.
Schedule and direct edit sessions.
Create tape logs through transcription of source tapes prior to edit sessions.
Provide support for Directors, Senior Producers, Producers, and Associate Producers.
Work closely with internal and external staff to assure project goals are being met and completed on-schedule.
Manage incoming video materials for selected projects.
Schedule and organize voice-over sessions.
Required Experience
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school; Six months to one year related experience; Knowledge of film and popular culture; And/or training; And/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills, with an eye for detail.
Ability to learn quickly and to adapt to changes in organizational priorities.
Demonstrated ability to create attention-getting promotional pieces.
