Members of the Media Networking Alliance (MNA) – the professional AV industry alliance established to promote awareness and uptake of AES67 will be playing a prominent role in the Networked Audio Sessions at this year’s International AES Convention, held at the Jacob Javits Center, NYC, Booth #344, from Oct. 29th to Nov. 1st. International leading pro-audio manufacturer Solid State Logic has also recently joined the alliance.
Additionally, the MNA has also announced the appointments to its Board of Directors. The appointments include: Rich Zwiebel, Vice President, Systems Strategy, QSC Audio Products LLC as Chairman, and Terry Holton, General Manager, Yamaha R&D Centre as Vice Chairman. Marty Sacks, Vice President of Sales, Support and Marketing, The Telos Alliance is appointed as Financial Officer, and Bill Scott, Vice President of Engineering and Technology at Bosch Communications Systems, and Andreas Hilmer, Director Marketing & Communications at Lawo, are also appointed as members of the Board.

Saturday 31 October, 13:30 to 14:30 – room 1A13. MNA Chairman and Vice President of Systems Strategy at QSC Audio Products, Rich Zwiebel, is presenting Networked Audio Session N7: Benefits of AES67 to the End User.
Saturday 15:15 to 16:45 – room 1A14. Andreas Hildebrand, Senior Product Manager at ALC NetworX, is chairing the Networked Audio Session N8: How to Get AES67 into Your Systems/Products. Panelists include MNA member company representatives; Michael Dosch of Lawo Ag, Greg Shay from The Telos Alliance and Arie van den Broek from Archwave AG. The workshop recaps the technical ingredients of AES67 and introduces the principal options
Saturday 17:00 to 18:30 – room 1A14. Networked Audio Session N9: How Will AES67 Affect the Industry? – is also chaired by Rich Zwiebel. This is an open discussion with a panel of MNA network audio specialists comprising Arie van den Broek from Archwave AG, Andreas Hildebrand from ALC NetworX, Patrick Killianey, Network Applications Engineer at Yamaha Professional Audio Division, Phil Wagner, President of Focusrite Novation Inc. and Ethan Wetzell, Platform Strategist at Bosch Communications Systems.
Sunday 1 November 11:00 to 12:30 – room 1A12. Kevin Gross, MNA Technical Working Group Chairman and head of AVA Networks, chairs the Networked Audio Session N10: AES Interoperability Testing. The panel of Andreas Hildebrand, Peter Stevens from BBC Research and Development and Nicolas Sturmel, Head of Advanced Research at Digigram S.A. were all participants in last year’s AES67 PlugFest at the Institut für Rundfunktechnik (IRT) in Munich, Germany.
Additionally, there is a meeting of the AES Technical Committee on Networked Audio Systems (TC-NAS) at 12:00 on Saturday in room 1A19. More information about TC-NAS is available at www.aes.org/technical/nas/

His expansive background spans four decades in ever increasing executive roles in operations, business development, engineering and sales/marketing in the information technology, media & entertainment, storage and networking, and other related high technology industries.
He is an active mentor and senior advisor to many established and VC backed start-up companies and incubators, a market/technology analyst, and has over three decades of experience in brand development, management consulting, company turnarounds, creative advertising and public relations.
A graduate of California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo; Mr. Chan recently ended his 14th year as Vice President for the Fullerton College Foundation; 22nd year as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence and mentor for the Small Business Institute at California State University Fullerton and incubators. Additionally, he is a volunteer member of DECA (Delta Epsilon Chi and Distributive Education Clubs of America); an advisor to the College of Engineering's Global Waste Research Institute, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and a member of the President’s Green and Gold Society; and advisory council member to Pepperdine University's Most Fundable Companies program. Passionate about hospice care, he was the past Board President for the Healing Hearts Association; and is a regularly featured speaker at many MBA and Doctorate level lectures around the country. He has presented and published over 30 papers worldwide, is a book co-author, an Editorial Board Member for the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, past Senior Editor for Broadcast Beat and AV Beat Magazines, Computer Technology Review, and is a regularly featured Contributing Editor to many US and international trade publications for over 35 years.
