Foccus Digital and Palma International Technology will be presenting the Soliton Zao-S H.265/HEVC encoder at the SET EXPO 2017 from August 22- 24 in Sao Paulo. Ultra lightweight, compact and portable, Zao-S can be body mounted or connected to bikes, cameras, or drones allowing users to stream high quality video even in challenging bandwidth situations. Soliton’s Zao-S is ideal for all mobile streaming, live sports and journalism applications. High quality video and audio is transmitted via 3G/4G/Wi-Fi networks directly to a server, or can be retransmitted to Youtube, Facebook, or Wowza.
Soliton’s Zao-S mobile encoder is their 2nd generation H.265 technology. Soliton encoders are efficient and operate with lower bandwidth requirements, robust performance, and better video quality. These improvements enhance flexibility, decrease operating costs, offering broadcasters greater versatility and mobility when transmitting from the field anywhere in the world. The Smart-telecaster Zao encoders have been deployed worldwide with Globosat whose international operations require reliable, cost effective, quality video contribution, and transmission stability in bandwidth-constrained environments. Soliton’s Zao-S encoder includes their proprietary RASCOW technology which has been field tested worldwide and proven to be exceptionally stable.
